The Sed rate test is not exclusively conclusive to PMR. It is my understanding that a high Sed rate indicates inflamation, which can be caused by an array of medical conditions. I've had PMR for close to 2 yrs, but was finally diagnosed in Sept 2000. I have NOTHING encouraging to say about this condition. Nobody should have to live with this kind of pain & discomfort; I wish that the researchers would hurry up and find something for our relief besides Prednisone... that only masks symptoms, & does nothing to cure it, & the side effects are almost as bad, in their own rite, as PMR itself!
