This sound like what my sister had years ago. She had a tear in the vaginal wall and a tampon had actually moved into her abdominal cavity. Have this checked by a GYN. The infection might have also caused a thinning of the vaginal skin. I used to have this problem--recurring bacterial infections. My (new) doctor had me take lots of Vit E Fish Oil,(or EPA), flax seed oil, plus Calcium, Magnesium and Zinc supplements. He also had me clean my intestine because the bacterian can live in the large intestine and migrate through the thin vaginal walls. Health food stores have intestinal cleansing systems and enema formulas--also booklets on colonic irrigation. Don't use douches--they just irritate and remove the slippery mucus protection. Aloe vera gel is very soothing and will help the lining heal. I've never had the problem again, because I know how to maintain my health.
