I myself have gone through the same exact thing with the fishy smell. And yes no matter how much I keep that area clean and dry I still have this problem at least 2 or 3 times a year and I end up going to the doctor and he tells me it's BV and gives me metronidazole 500mg to take 2 times a day for 7 days. It's so embrassing when you use the restroom and someone comes in after you've used it and the smell almost knocks them out. I've changed soap even started wearing only white undies but to not avail. And I'm not going to mention how sick to my stomach the medicine makes me and the horrible side affects. Please some advice upon how to cure this problem without having to go to the doctor for those horrible drugs with the terrible side affects..
