Cher
Hi, I was offered the steroids or cortozone shots which I flat out refused. The person who helped me the most was my Chiropractor who was very familiar with this illness. He does what he calls jacknobbing where he uses this tool that has round wooden balls on it. What he does is applies pressure to the trigger point areas and in turn what this does is to release the toxins that build up in the nodules that causes the pain initially. He has been a godsend and made the unbearable pain bearable for me. I do not know what I would have done without him as the pain was 24/7. Before I would consider the shots etc. I would find a Chiropractor who knew about and treated others for this illness as this is a better route to take then the steroids which can be very dangerous. We have all heard the horror stories of what steroids have done to people and I think that everyone should be very cautious about such an undertaking. I found too that taking a supplement that consists of 1200mgs if Malic Acid and 400mgs of Magnesium daily has helped boost my energy level. This was suggested by my Rheumotologist as he had seen good results and read about the positive affects that it had on others. Sincerely, Cher
