I have had fibro myalgia for many years, but since I went to a sleep disorder clinic and found I had obstructive sleep apnea. This means that whenever a person gets into stage 4 or rem sleep, their muscles completely relax and one's tongue, tonsils and adenoids relax backwards into the throat, which cuts off the route for oxygen to enter the lungs. This means that oxygen is not getting to your lungs, blood, and muscles. During rem sleep, is when the body heals itself and if there is an obstruction to your oxygen route to your body, then the aches and pains are not prevented. There are a few things which a person can do to alleviate the problem. One method is to use a Continuous Air Pressure pump, mask and humidifier to blow a constant flow of air in your nose and down your throat. You will have more energy, remember more dreams, wake up more rested and be able to do more work. You will not need to nap as often. You will have more energy to work, and play and walk etc, all of which will help you to empty your bowels more easily, and hence you will not have toxins in your bowels which may be poisoning your body. Massage of your muscles may relieve some of your pain. An electric heavy duty thumper or massager will allow you to relieve some of the reachable aches and pains. You will be less cranky and be a nicer person overall as you will be accomplishing more.
