Hi,i'm no dr but i did have similar problems. i had surgery last month for a herniated disk and it is called lumbar discectomy. I'm not 100% yet but I have no more pain in my leg. The Dr said it would take a while and to listen to my body. I can drive, go for walks, no heavy lifting, or bending over too much yet. I am glad I decided to have the surgery. It's no fun to be in pain. Happy Thanksgiving
