You should look up on www.tonyattwood.com and www.faaas.org the diagnosis of Asperger's Syndrome. Lack of eye contact, not liking to be hugged, and rage are all components of this disorder, which is a form of high functioning autism. The people with Asperger's are usually very intelligent, but have different thinking patterns, and once understood, can function very well with the proper support. I have just been through the education process for interaction with an adult Asperger's person, and the difference is incredible once I learned about the behavior. Most psychologists and doctors are not familiar with this syndrome, so the internet and recently published books and tapes are the only sources of information in the United States. Good luck.
