Wow! I know how painful that can be. About 14 years ago, I belonged to gym and used to work out three times a week. ( I am in my 70s). One day, a woman was working out on a machine and I tried to emulate what she was doing. Unfortunately for me; I was not in the shape she was in. A few days later my hip started aching (left hip). As time went on the pain became unbearable at times. I went to a chirpractor who manipulated the hip; but nothing helped. Xrays of the hip showed nothing (the doctor said); and he told me I had bursitis. At that time I was living in Port Angeles, Wa. Beautiful, but damp. I moved to California and it got better; and about 5 years ago a friend suggested I take Cod liver oil pills. She said they would help. I did take them for quite a while (years in fact). The hip has not been bothering me for three or four years now although my left leg doesn't track true when walking. I think in my case I damaged my hip socket in some way and the doctors couldn't really see what was wrng with it, so they called it Bursitis.
