I have burcitis also in the hip - my left and have had a couple of injections also, one time it helped, and one time it didn't and it is also critical that the Dr get the needle in the exact spot that the pain is the worst. But, anyhow, mine seems to be ongoing or chronic. I am taking celebrex,neurontin and elavil.The combination of them all and the dosage seem to help.One of my major complaints is - it is so difficult to sleep,because I can not lay on my side or the hip just ackes and throbs something terrible.
