Debbie
I have had it also a very log time. With a diagnosis (Dx) of it musst be in your head, allergies, lyme disease (antibotics for 1 1/2 yrs. and home I.V.s for 6 months.) Went to Mayo Clinic and the Dx was Chronic fatique syndrome in 1994, and chronic pain syndrome, injured my back at work in 1996. FM hit this time and stayed, but not Dx until 1998 and been disabled since and recieving Social Security Disability. I also was very active all my life and loved it. I drove 2 years 150 mile round trip for my associates degree. (Physical therapy assistant) and graduate in 1992 at ag 35. What ihave found is to listen to your body, if you need a nap or just lay down during the day listen. You have to push yourself, but don't push to hard and increase your pain and fatique. And its hard to do this. The supplements i take are the blue-green algea (spirulina) evening primrose oil, grape seed extract,SAMe, along with my regular meds. But alway tell your doc and check with them about the supplements. Different ones work better than others for different people. This fibro is mean stuff and tries to take your life as you know it. But you still can have controll, but in a different way. And you have to find your own way, support groups help so much. and please feel free to mail me. Debbie
