There are many disorders that carry the same symptoms that you have but usually bloodwork can rule them out all except Fibromyalgia. This is a disorder of the fibrous tissue and muscles.one usually has tenderness at certain points in the body and muscle pain, fatigue, sleep disorders, and also depression. One can also suffer from frequent headaches, IBS, TMJ, PMS, and chest pain. I have had FMS for about 12 yrs and it is a very confusing disease. I will have several days when I feel like moving the world only to then lapse back into the feeling of near death. FMS is hard to diagnose and I have found a lot of Drs. think you are a hypochondrac. It usually hits women between the ages of 20 and 55 and mostly middle class caucasian. A good site to find out about this disorder is about.com under arthritis. A arthritis Dr. (Rheumatologist) is the best kind of Dr to treat it. I hope you find relief soon. When I first got FMS I had lots of sore throats and low grade temps too. If you want to contact me its ok. Lots of luck. sheila44@bellsouth.net
