recurring bladder infections

Have you been tested for bacterial infections each time you have cystitis? If you have been, and the tests dont always show bacteria, then ask about interstial cystitis (IC). If you want more info about IC, go to www.ic-network.com. I was diagnosed with IC after suffering what I thought was recurring bladder infections. I had a hydrodistension done, which gave some relief. The best thing I have found is MSM, (methylsulfonylmethane) which was prescribed to me by a GP who specialises in nutritional medicine. (I had gone to him seeking help with lupus.) He prescribed me all sorts of minerals, but the information sheet that came with the MSM said it was approved by the FDA for treatment of IC. And amazingly, I have had NO bladder problems since I started taking MSM 9 months ago. I used to find that taking lots of fluids (water) helped too. Anyway, I hope that one way or another you find a solution to your problem.
