I have had abnormal PAPS for eleven years now. Most of them CIN II and CIN III. I have been frozen, poked, pecked at and fried with a Lasor. If your dysplasia is caused by HPV, it will never completely go away. Even after a hysterectomy there is no guarentee it won't attack your vaginal wall. At the age of thirty eight I have recently decided to have a hysterectomy, I have three children and don't really want another one. How ever the persistance of the abnormality is wearing me down and the emotional rollercoaster is getting to be to much. In most cases CIN III is still classified as precancerous. If you go in for regular check ups and do the suggested treatments you can buy yourself time when it comes to having children. This can be costly, and very emotionally straining, but if you are considering having children don't jump right into having a hysterectomy, that is non-reversible, and could be even more emotionally draining than never giving yourself a chance.
