Hi Karen. I jus saw your message. I also have a problem with L5,S1. I have had three surgeries on it. The last one wa dne in 1994, they bought a rod in my back. I'm now having alot of problems with the rod. All my dsk in my back are breaking on me. The doctor is doing a series of tests to see what is going on. The medicine you are on is perfect. I have taken it before. Also the idea of having pt will also help you. Do everything you can to not have surgery. I don't think this condontion or the medicine can cause you headaches. Keep me posted with how you are doing ok. Gigi
