Boy does your story sound familiar. I am now 38 and was diagnosed only two years ago. I put up with awful pain, diarhea, and constipation for years. If you don't have Crohn's Disease I would be surprised. Yes, go see your doctor. He should send you for a Upper GI with a Small Bowel follow through. Then, they will send you to a Gastroentologist Specialist. He will probably do scopes into your intestines. It's not painful and you are in the hospital for a few hours. But, before you go on Prednisone, contact me. I have read everything I can on Crohn's Disease over the past few years, and have found some helpful ways to control things.
