i have a hard time understanding your husband's treatment of crohn's disease with a medication used for acne. This medication has large side effects if a women is taking the drug,it causes know birth defects. If your husband is taking the medication i wonder. The major side effect to this medication is iflammatory bowel disease, and less severe form of crohn's. I would discuss this medication with your husbands physican. Since you state that he has had several flare-ups. the current theory of treatment has been to increase fiber in the diet, and water.
