You are fortunate that surgury is an option. I have a 12 year old neice, weighs 38 pounds, is short in height, extremely small body and has, according to the most recent doctor, the worse case of scoliosis he has ever seen. The doctor said surgury is not an option because she is so small and the impact the surgury would have on her internal organs. What did the CF in your e-mail stand for? My neice was, at one time, diagnosed with Cockayne's Syndrome but them the doctors said she did not have that. Thus far no one seems to know what is wrong with her. From what I understand the scolosis surgury is difficult at best and I think you are doing the right thing to check it out throughly. Good Luck!!
