I had my gallbladder removed two years ago at age of 66. I had absolutely no pain afterward. I was able to have the gall bladder removed through the navel. That is a decison your Surgeon will make.I returned to my parttime job 2 weeks later. I was given okay by doctor to work as long as I did no lifting or strenous work for 6 weeks. Good Luck to you. Bea
