I'm not a dr. but I believe from everything I've read and heard is your dr. is correct and cumadin which is a very safe and often prescribed drug is the same thing as warfarin in d-con. Of course the doses are different and the quality of cumadin much higher so don't go trying to save a few bucks and nibble d-con daily. They are both effective blood thinners and cumadin is quite safe but, as when you take any and all medications, monitor them and you and follow the dr. order, and any complications or side effects tell him/her.
