One of our friend's new born baby's right palm was not developed at birth. Since there have been such cases before and there might be medical procedures developed already to deal with this kind of anomaly Iwould appreciate any help I can get regarding the cause and treatment of this condition. Here is a short tentative medical description of the condition: Infant is two days old born with absence of right palm and fingers. X-ray shows only radius and ulna but no carpal bones, meta carpal bones, and phalanges. There is soft tissue, about 1 cm in length, extending beyond the distal end of radius and ulna with rudimentary fingers. Baby appears healthy otherwise. There is no known history of use of medication or exposure to radiation during the first trimester of pregnancy.
