I am a recently disabled 55 year old female with blindness in my left eye due to a very large, thick cataract. I can not afford health insurance, am not yet eligible for medicare, and have been told I was not eligible for Medicaid. I suffer from several health problems: type 2 diabetes, cirrhosis of the liver, high blood pressure, and have a urostomy due to cancer of the bladder. In order to attach my external urostomy pouch properly, I must be able to see. Does anyone know if there is financial help available for someone in need of cataract surgery? Thanks, Lynda
